Info for Leaders

“Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers” (Doctrine and Covenants 112:10).

“What a blessing to be an adult leader, serving side by side with these youth in organizing a camp to help all of the young women increase their capacity as leaders and disciples of Jesus Christ. They will learn how to create an atmosphere of faith, unity and love because of the leadership and love they feel from you.” – From the Young Women General Presidency

    • After February 25th, fees will increase to the regular amount of $165/youth.
    • Each ward can choose whether to supplement costs at a ward level.
    • Campers should turn in their camp fees to a member of the bishopric with a tithing envelope, listing the amount under “other” and writing in the words “Young Women’s Camp.” Please Double-check to make sure each young woman has paid upon registration.
  • Transfer of funds to the stake
    • To be eligible for the early registration discount, wards must transfer the full early registration fee of $150/youth to the stake by March 10th.
    • For registrations after March 10th, please transfer the regular registration fee of $165/youth to the stake at the time that it is received by the ward.

Adult Leaders

  • Adult registration is also due February 25th, 2024
  • ALL adult leaders should fill out online registration, in addition to printed forms (attached to envelopes and printable at the website):
  • Please include three female leaders from your ward. The female leader should have a Young Women’s calling and must be able to attend the entire duration of camp.
  • Additionally, please include one male leader from your ward to assist at camp. If the male leader is unable to attend for the entire duration of camp, you may split their time with another male leader, as long as there is one male leader for each ward at camp at all times.
  • All adult leaders must complete the Youth Protection Training within the last three years.
  • California law now requires Church members who work with minors for at least 32 hours per year to undergo a criminal background check (Live Scan). All adult leaders must complete Live Scan through the church prior to the start date of camp. Even if you have undergone a background check in the past for other volunteer efforts outside of church, you will need to complete another one since this information is not shared between organizations.
  • Adult leaders can refer to this list of suggested items when packing: Camp Packing List for Leaders

Health Screening & Medication Information

2023 Medical Screening Form

It is suggested that wards screen campers for lice a week before camp so they can be treated if lice is found. The official health screening will need to be done on Sunday, June 9th, the day before camp starts. Ward camp directors will need to deliver completed forms to our stake camp nurse, Jennifer Bair by Sunday evening.

You are looking for:

  •  Lice
  •  Pink eye (swelling, redness, discharge)
  •  Throat (redness, puss, infection)
  •  Fever

Suggested supplies for screening:

  • Hand sanitizer
  • Combs or sticks to check for lice
  • Flashlights
  • Thermometers
  • Tongue depressors

Screenings DO NOT need to be done by an RN. They can be done by any adult.

A parent or adult MUST accompany campers for health screenings.

Health screenings need to be conducted on all YW and adults attending camp. (Including leaders, ropes course, cookies, priesthood)

**If a camper has symptoms of illness at camp, she will be sent home and parents will be required to pick her up. If a camper gets in the car with either lice or pink eye and is found to have either condition upon arrival at camp, then ALL campers in that vehicle must also go home.**

Medications will need to be dropped off to camp nurses Sunday, June 9th at the Stake Center, Junction building, Watt building or Cherry building. (Time TBD)  If the drop off times do not work for campers they will need to contact the camp nurse (Jennifer Bair) to arrange a time to drop them off to her house.
